Workshop Description:
Learn to generate realistic synthetic patient records using tools like Synthea and Faker, simulate disease progression in synthetic patients manually with Markov models and state-transition models, and customize datasets for research applications while ensuring privacy.

Location: Virtual Workshop. Zoom link will be provided upon registration.
Prerequisites for Workshop:
1. Access to a computer and a good internet connection.
2. Familiarity with programming and computational notebooks a plus but not a strict requirement.

Tools: Python, Jupyter, Scipy, Binder, Google Colab, Synthea, Faker
Expected Outcomes:
Participants gain practical skills in generating and customizing synthetic EHR data while ensuring privacy and realism for research applications.
